| Recycling & Environmental Features
Deco-Pour uses reconstituted materials extracted from
societies waste stream and offers architects and designers a
creative medium to enhance the product performance properties.
Deco-Pour uses Portland cement as its base and then adds
natural minerals and recycled materials from industry and post
consumer goods. We can incorporate in excess of
65%-recycled content. Fly ash, a powder residue
that results from the combustion of pulverized coal in
electric power generating plants is added by 12% to displace
the cement base and add strength. Aggregates are added to
enhance the appearance of Deco-Pour, including but not limited
to recycled materials such as glass, stone, or metal shavings.
At this time of increasing attention to the environmental
impact of construction and sustainable development, Deco-Pour
has substantial offerings:
- Resource Efficient-minimizes depletion of our natural
resources
- Chemically Inert-an ideal medium in which to recycle
waste or industrial by products
- Deco-Pour -not subject to out-gassing
- Energy Efficient-concrete is superior to wood or steel
- Durable-continuing to gain strength with time
- Recyclable-concrete can be recycled and used as an
aggregate in new concrete, base or fill for drainage
structures, pavement bases or decorative walkways

Deco-Pour makes every effort in obtaining product materials
from the same region as the installation site to avoid “Green
Washing”. We use an integral sealer that may allow you the
benefits of not using a topical sealer, thus requiring less
chemical maintenance. Our integral sealer is non-toxic,
non-hazardous, low-odor and contains no volatile organic
compounds.
